Erin
Duley
Film Critict
Originally from Pittsboro, Indiana, Erin Duley grew up making the most of every creative outlet she encountered. This included dancing from the age of three, playing in the band in high school, and performing in several theatrical productions. There was also a stint in ventriloquism, but she doesn't like to talk about it.
Of course movies greatly figured into her formative years as well, with repeat viewings of favorites like the Carol Burnett version of "Annie," "The Goonies," and "The Karate Kid" trilogy being a daily occurrence. It was in this way that Erin first began to "study" film. Thankfully, her taste has continued to evolve through the years.
After graduating from Tri-West High School, Erin headed to St. Louis, Missouri, to attend Webster University and major in film studies. Although Erin truly enjoyed working on her fellow students' film and video sets, she discovered that her own forte lay in writing about the finished product. She picked up a minor in media communications to gain skills in journalism and media research after determining that she wanted to be a film critic.
Erin studied abroad at Webster's Leiden, Netherlands, campus the first half of her senior year. After returning a cosmopolitan, she became one of the regular critics covering film and theatre for the campus newspaper. She graduated with honors and began writing weekly movie reviews for "The Hendricks County Flyer" in her hometown.
Duley Noted was begun to provide a new forum for Erin's criticism, a forum that has the potential to become a smash hit in Denmark.
